When I first started learning UX design, I felt overwhelmed.
So many “laws,” so many principles—Fitts’s Law, Hick’s Law… It sounded like science class all over again.
I’m just a simple girl who loves good design and small joys in life.
So I stopped trying to memorize UX laws—and started trying to see them all around me.
From elevator buttons to cereal aisles to my grandma’s old recipe notes—life itself taught me how UX works.
Here are some of my favorite UX laws, paired with small life lessons that help me remember and apply them, and when I can't, I refer to my own writing
